Fuego UX is a remote based user experience consultancy that assists clients with user research, product strategy, and design to create human centered, digital solutions that solve complex business problems. (Projects below were developed under a strict NDA.)
Project 1 | Designing a custom consumer application for a global athletic apparel company
Teamed up with Product Owner to build out information architecture and wireframes for a new iOS and web application that facilitates customer feedback on client’s products and services. This solution incorporated existing functionality from other B2C applications within their business.
Augmented onto a dedicated team of engineers to understand technical constraints and work together to build out functionality through weekly scrums and Agile planning.
Provided accessibility audit and recommendations for UI improvements to ensure ADA compliance and scalability across web and iOS.
Built and delivered a high-fidelity, clickable Figma prototype for executive leadership review.
Collaborated with engineering and QA teams to provide detailed product testing and design feedback prior to application launch.
Project 2 | Research and define MVP requirements for contingent workforce software
Performed internal stakeholder interviews to analyze and report initial industry and user knowledge gaps within the product strategy.
Conducted a heuristics audit of the client’s current software, documenting limitations, opportunities and accessibility enhancements.
Developed a qualitative and quantitative research plan that included focus groups, one on one interviews, surveys with over 20 participants, generating over 25 hours of user data that was used as Voice of the Customer, supporting product roadmap recommendations.
Created current and future state user journey maps, service blueprints, ‘how might we’ statements and golden threads to assist in product roadmap documentation.
Completed competitor and market analysis to identify critical tasks for users and feature differentiators for MVP, generating them into actionable user stories for design.
Created a series of interactive, UX driven workshops to present findings, collaborate and collect organized feedback with the 15+ member product team
Project 3 | Architect and design new mobile parking payment software
Collaborated with engineering and product owners to build out information architecture and end-to-end user flows for three required web and mobile web applications.
Conducted stakeholder interviews to identify key product features and requirements, translating them into actionable user stories for design and document interdependencies across applications and users.
Assisted in developing a web accessible brand identity and bootstrap based design system that could be repurposed across platforms and devices.
Led UI designers in translating wireframes into final designs by definition design sprints and review cycles.

Otter Products LLC is the parent company of OtterBox, the number-one selling and most trusted products in the mobile accessory category.
Lead, advocated and implemented UX thinking and practice, aiding in 3x revenue growth within 3 years, earning the title Best Online Shop by NewsWeek & Statista (2020) based on a 48 point assessment conducted across 9.5k online stores in the US.
Worked cross-functionally with front and backend teams to overhaul code base and design system to achieve and maintain a 98% WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility score.
Participated as primary UX stakeholder in site replatforming from Demandward to Salesforce Commerce Cloud, building out master template wireframes and a design system based on years of usability testing data. Read Case Study →
Created the business case and led the implementation of a pre-sales chat program on OtterBox.com that generated $926,700 of revenue within its first year of engagement.
Identified site optimization opportunities and performed bi-weekly user testing. which included defining test plans, overseeing production and implementation of test design, and reporting.

Healthgrades is the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.
Lead research and design for a custom call center application aimed to reduce call and agent idle time through form optimization incorporating other workflows within the Healthgrades platform. Output included user interviews and synthesis, sketches, wireframes, and a service blueprint.
Performed ongoing optimization improvements for 3+ million provider profiles by defining testing requirements and reporting on results within an Agile framework.

Ibotta is an iOS and Android application that provides cash back rebates to users for shopping at stores or purchasing products from companies that pay Ibotta a fee.
Worked cross-functional with the creative director, marketing and engineering to build out the 16h most frequently used iOS app in 2013, achieving over 2 million downloads within the first year of launch.

Supported development of wireframes and design for The Block, a social platform for Chevy Performance auto enthusiasts, achieving 3.5M organic impressions within the first 4 months of launch.
